Raphael Kaplinsky and Masuma Farooki participated in the SOAS International Workshop on “Transmission Mechanisms of the Global Financial Crisis on the Developing World” on the 10th of July 2009. The presentation on “(Interrupted) Structural Breaks in Commodity Prices – Why the Asian Drivers Make a Difference”, focused on their research work on the Asian Driver impact on Commodity Prices and the Making the Most of Commodities Program (MMCP) at the OU- Development Studies Association launches ‘China and Development’ Study Group
